Truancy Court Program Seeks Volunteers

The School of Law's Center for Families, Children and the Courts is seeking volunteers both from the University of Baltimore community and beyond to assist in its growing Truancy Court Program. A special session to solicit volunteers and explain the program to newcomers will be held on Sept. 18 at noon in the School of Law.
School of Law Celebrates Clinical Education Sept. 21

The University of Baltimore School of Law will celebrate its esteemed clinical education program with a special event on Thursday, Sept. 21. Clinical education at UB covers a wide range of issues, from community development to family law to tax questions, and each year as many as 200 students participate in the experiential learning opportunities in the law school's clinics.
Law Students to Help Local Artists, Arts Organizations Meet Their Legal Needs

The University of Baltimore School of Law and Maryland Lawyers for the Arts have set up a free telephone help line for artists and arts organizations. UB law students will staff the phones, answer questions from artists and nonprofit arts organizations and assist callers in obtaining additional legal assistance.
Law School to Host Annual Homecoming and Reunion Oct. 6-8

The University of Baltimore School of Law will host its fourth annual Homecoming and Reunion Weekend on Oct. 6-8. The weekend’s events include a welcoming cocktail reception, a softball game for alumni and current students, a gala dinner and dancing at The Center Club and a Sunday jazz brunch.
