New Study Finds High Confidence in Juvenile Services

University of Baltimore School of Law’s Center for Families, Children and the Courts publishes new study showing that Maryland’s Circuit Court judges and juvenile masters have a high level of confidence in the abilities and intentions of DJS, but more work needs to be done to establish "restorative justice" for families with troubled children.
Center for Families, Children and the Courts Hires Coordinator for Truancy Court Program April 19

The University of Baltimore School of Law’s Center for Families, Children and the Courts (CFCC) has appointed Patricia S. Schminke to serve as coordinator of its newly established “truancy court” program. Schminke, who began her duties on March 1, will act as a liaison among the center, the volunteers who operate the court and the five Baltimore City schools participating in the program.
School of Law Golf Tournament for Alumni and Students May 20

The University of Baltimore School of Law’s sixth annual golf tournament for alumni and students will be held on Friday, May 20, at Waverly Woods Golf Club in Marriottsville, Md. Tee time is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. The tournament is limited to foursomes.
Discussion on Governmental Immunity to be Held May 17 at UB School of Law

Dean Holmes Named First Recipient of Black Law Student Group’s Lifetime Achievement Award
